Coach
"As a mother and avid sportswoman I understand the demands of juggling work commitments, family life and training."
Alongside her professional qualifications Ellie also has significant coaching experience both with individuals and more recently with small groups as a Crossfit Level 1 working at Crossfit Sweet Track in Glastonbury since February 2017. Sportswoman and mother
Ellie has always been an active individual and finds sport and exercise to be her outlet to dealing with the stresses of day to day life. At the age of 10 she started training with the local athletics club and by the age of 18 had gained her first representative selection for the Great Britain under 20 athletics team as a sprinter. Her athletic career continued into her late 20’s during which time she won numerous regional and national events and represented the Welsh Senior athletics team for many years. As well as individual sport Ellie has experience within the team sport setting playing football during school and university and taking up rugby at the age of 31 after the birth of her son. Her current sporting interest/ passion is crossfit, a sport in which she trains, competes and coaches.
As a mother and avid sportswoman she understands the demands of juggling work commitments, family life and training and has first-hand experience of the anxiety and apprehension that can often surround the return to sport/fitness post-childbirth. Ellie’s personal training experiences combined with her significant knowledge and skills (including 20+ years as a physiotherapist) enables her to fully understand the importance of health, nutrition and training techniques to enable people to achieve their goals (whatever they may be).
